After 29 years of battling CF, Lauren passed away yesterday afternoon (November 3).

She was a strong woman who, unfortunately, lived in a weak body.

P.S. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in her name:

Prayers are with you. Breathe easy Lauren.
Praying for you Brad and Lauren's family. I really did admire Lauren and am saddened by this news. We will find a CURE for CF, I promise!

I look forward to going back through her blogs when I need them the most. She was a wealth of CF knowledge for me. She will truly be missed.
I am so sorry for your loss, Brad. Your family will be in our prayers. Breathe easy, Lauren.
Praying for you Brad.
I am so sad to hear the news. I know she is well now and that is good, but I am sad for you and for her family. Praying that God will wrap you in His arms and give you great comfort.
(I was one of her babysitters when she was a little girl.)

I have followed your blog from the beginning. I am so sad to see you go. You fought so hard and well - good job. I know that you are with Jesus now and that He is giving you a hug and saying "well done my good and faithful servant." You will be missed by many people here on earth, including me.
I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

I just have to add that I have been totally in awe of her writing, her testimony, her strength. She was a true woman of God. And you, Brad, are an amazing man of God. Even though I really don't know you and I hadn't seen Lauren in a long time, I read her blog, I watched the tape of your story, I followed your journey from afar. You both have my utmost respect and admiration.
Lauren was such a kick and will truly be missed! But we praise our Lord that she's perfect and with Him. Our love and sympathies to you and your families.
Greg and Lori
My deepest sympathies. Her story is inspiring to me, as I am 29 and going through a lot of the same issues at the same times as I read on her blog. God bless your family and you will be in my prayers. Breathe free, Lauren. Breathe free.
Brad I am so sorry. Words cannot express. She was a great inspiration and will be missed by so many.
I know it is so hard for you to be putting this into words, Brad. I'm so sorry for your loss.

When you are better able, read through the many remembrances and condolences on She was so special and so loved.

Many people are blogging their rememberances of her today, also. It's been very special to honor her life.
I have so many fond memories of Lauren growing up in Church, at school and next door. She was an excelent example to all on how to have true faith in God. Her strenght and loving attitude will always be missed.

I pray that God gives you peace and comfort in this time of loss. I know that Lauren is finally at peace and can truely "breath deeply" with no more pain and discomfort.

Brad, I never met you, but knew Lauren from birth through highschool. The time we did spend together she impacted my life in many ways. We were on majorettes together and went to church together. No matter what she was dealing with at the time, she would always have a smile on and be determined to not let CF interfear with her life. I regret not keeping in touch with her after school. I pray that you find peace and know that Lauren is finally free from CF and is watching you from above.

Lauren you will always be missed!!!!
Rest In Peace Lauren.
Breathe Easy <3

You'll be missed.
I have such fond memories of Lauren. She was truly a treasure of a person. My prayers go out to you. I'm so glad that she is breathing such beautiful air in Heaven!

Brad and family, I have a four year old with CF and have found strength and peace from Lauren's words. I hope you don't mind, I wrote about the impact she had on my blog:

Lauren, I hope you are breathing deep breaths of love tonight, as you leave the body that failed you, to find the weightlessness of being at peace. Your faith and trust in God has been an unreachable goal of mine, to find the certainty that you have, the absolute knowledge that even when we come to the end, we find a beginning. For the little I knew of you, I loved. And I know you of all people have found what you were looking for.

In her name and in my kiddos name, I know we will find a cure. And because of people like her, reaching out, seeking knowledge, spreading knowledge, we will get there someday. I'm thinking of you. xoxo Elise
So very sorry for you loss. Brad, you and your family are in our thoughts. Breathe Easy Lauren.
I can't express the sorrow my heart feels for you and your families. You are all in my prayers. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Our hope is in our Lord Jesus Christ that we will one day be reunited with our loved ones. Draw your comfort & strength from Him. Lauren is perfectly whole & running the streets of gold.

sorry for your lost!
Sent by way of Froggy Mama. Peace to you and Lauren.
I am so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family....
I will always remember Lauren for her strength, sense of humor, and diligence in using all of her talents to God's glory and for the education of others. I'm grateful that when I see her again, she will be breathing freely and will be free from all suffering and limitation. Brad, know that we will continue to be praying for you.

I cannot believe you are gone, my sweet sweet friend. Oh how I miss you.
Deeply saddened by your loss. I was praying for your wife last week and while the answers haven't come in the way we had hoped, I believe God has answered prayers in giving her the ultimate healing.

My prayers are for you now, Brad. My first husband was born with CF died at the age of 43, 3 months after his successful bi-lateral lung transplant. God only knows how we have missed him and wondered why his story ended so soon on this earth. But Jesus has been our strength and comfort through it all. Some day we will be reunited.

Blessings to you and Lauren's family.

Brad, we were praying throughout the day tomorrow and will continue for the days and nights ahead.
I am so sorry to hear this. Lauren was so sweet to leave comments on my blog from time to time.

She can breathe easy now. For all the CF'ers out there.
Breathe Easy, Lauren. Your CF community loves you.
Sending my love.
I'm sorry for your loss. I was just googling CF and came across this blog tonight.
I am sending you much love and light. Lauren meant so much to me. My daughters, Danielle, 17, and Sarah, 14, both have CF. We have all been touched deeply by her faith and absolute tenacity. I'm wishing you peace and love in your loss.
Love and Light,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about your family this Christmas. I can't imagine how difficult this season will be without Lauren. Sending our love your way.
I was just reading a past post on my blog .. and noticed Lauren's comment at the bottom. Her encouragement still helps even now. Just had to mention that.
I found this blog by accident and was so encouraged by one of her posts. I didn't realize she had passed on until I clicked on the most recent blog. I'm so sorry Brad, my prayers are with you.
